New Word Weaves

( We might be seeing more of this sometime soon if the weatherman is correct. I hope he's wrong.)

Greetings all,

I made 2 new word weaves as my giveaways during the 2011 One World One Heart. I had each winner pick the colors and verse. It was a lot of fun creating these special word weaves. I always take photos or scans of items I create and gift but this time something went wrong with the scan. The folder I created for the scan is empty. I'm still getting used to this new computer and this really saddens me that my scans did not take. It's the same scanner so I just don't understand how it can be so difficult.

It took me a while to get motivated to make these weaves and to decide on just the right shades of the colors they chose. They were very patient with me as I did not meet the March 1st deadline for delivery that Lisa Swifka asked us to follow. I am very grateful; for these ladies patience. I also decorated their envelopes to send mail art out into the world. I had just recently purchased some glimmer mist and have found this stuff is wonderful for decorating envelopes. A decorative template and some glimmer mist and wow did those envelopes pop. Hopefully they made the mail carrier as well as the mail recipient smile.

I've recently joined the List My5 web site and think I will probably have a lot of fun there writing and publishing lists. I've found I am able to turn some of my Associated Content articles into lists too. So that is cheating a bit maybe but it's a new way for me to revisit some of my past posts over at AC. I have also found list ideas in my everyday life. I hope you will jump over and check out my first few lists here. I sure would appreciate your views and comments.

It's spring break here and I've the day off from my day job so I'm going to take my granddaughter to see Rango. I love the commercials and she is really excited to see the movie (OK, I admit I am too).

Pinewood Derby, Doctor, Enchanted Revelry and More Snow

Greetings Folks, I woke up to more of this today as did this little guy that lives in my rose/rock garden. He loves the outdoors, can't you tell?!

I've been a wee bit busy this week. Too busy I think. And I've been so enjoying my few peeks in every chance I get at the wonderful blogs along the OWOH magic carpet ride.

We held our pinewood derby with one Pack I work with here this last week. These cars are made by 1st through 5th graders. Some were pretty creative. I just love that "pink e-racer". Great imagination....

I also had a long awaited doctor's appt. this past Tuesday. I spelled it all out for him literally. I wrote down all of my meds and what I take when and then told him about my physical condition (and emotional). I described all of the different tests I've had done over the past 2 years plus and still no answers and no long lasting relief. He was very attentive and went over my medical records and test results with me. We've stopped one med and will try replacing it with another, plus adding two more that will be temporary to help me get some night time relief and to calm my nerves and legs. I've got to get some quality sleep. I am also being tested for Rheumatoid Arthritis and Lupus. I have another appt. in three weeks. I don't want to wish anything bad on myself but I do want them to find something, an answer - anything, as to why I am always in such pain and when I do get it to ease up in one area it develops in another. (He assures me I'm not crazy, this I doubted.)

I did have a wonderful surprise in the mail this past week that truly made my day. Took my mind off any ailment I may have as soon as I seen the box. I new immediately I wanted to share it with you and I apologize for not having made the time to share it sooner.

I love all of the luscious colors of tissue paper that came stuffed in this box. Even my hubby knew to help fold it carefully to set aside for art projects. :) (He was as excited as I was to see what was in the box!)

I tried to get Frankie to help me with unpacking the box but she wasn't interested. Cats are like that, always lounging. :)

Tag, Your It!

I was tagged by Martha Lever of ArtduJour last week. My instructions are to post the 4th photo from my 4th folder so here it is. I acquired some license plate tags for recycling and came up with altering some by painting and adding some collage elements. It was lots of fun. I gave my mom one that says Honey and I gave it a design with her being the Queen Bee. She loved it and has it on her back porch which is her main entrance. This one is still for sale in my etsy shop as well as a few others. I thought it would be great in a kids room. (I just noticed the etsy posts expire in a few days, eek.) I found I have a few more altered tags I should post in my etsy shop too.

Dancing

Greetings Sunday,

While browsing the net and checking e-mails last night I came across a post from Eileen Brown. Eileen is the moderator of the A.B.H.P. Network on www.ryze.com among many other things. But Eileen is not what today's post is about. Through Eileen I found http://actionbites.blogspot.com/. Actionbites is a blog by Lindy Asimus. I had not been to her site before and did look around a bit. This is an amazing woman also. What did attract me to click on the link for actionbites in Eileen's post was the mention of Matt's video. I had heard of the "Where the hell is Matt" video before but had never seen it.

Who is Matt? Why Matt Harding of course. To be honest I don't know who he is but I do know he created a great video on youtube. In his video Matt is dancing in some of the most beautiful, far away places I have never seen, except through his video. Dancing! Yes dancing, and not just Matt but in some of the clips he is dancing with Monks in Laos and children in Mulindi, Rwanda. Even the seals on South Shetland Island seemed to be dancing with Matt. He dances with many in Spain, Ireland, Zambi, Kyrgyrzstan, Poland and many other wonderfully exotic places. He is even shown in the United States with some very beautiful scenery of places I have been to.

While watching these video clips (I ended up going to his youtube site) I wondered has Matt found the solution to World Peace? Is dancing together, laughing, smiling, wiggling; is this what is needed more of to conquer the woos of this world? I don't know about that but it sure is obvious Matt Harding has found the universal language to conquer all barriers wherever he may be, dance.
