For My Husband

 On Our 2015 Cruise
Jamaica, Montego Bay and Cozumel

I've been looking thru pictures of my late husband. Yellow tea roses were our thing since the day he took me to his Senior Prom oh so long ago. I had yellw rosebuds sewn on my wedding dress by a cousin and I carried yellow flowers in my wedding bouquet. I know the picture doesn't really go with the sentiment, I just like the picture.

For My Husband
Roses are yellow
 And violets are blue
I get all mellow
Whenever I think of You!

I miss you babe,

Until next time friends,

Save 50% on A Finger Pulse Oximeter

Greetings All,

I've been busy with my online classes this week in learning affiliate marketing and I've also been in a bit of a depression at the same time. This week one year ago I was speaking with the church ministers and family arranging for my husbands Celebration of Life. He's been gone 1 year, 1 month and 4 days now. I found his Oximeter today and sure enough they have a 2 pack on sale through Amazon.

For a Limited time (until Oct. 14, 2021 or when supplies run out) the Finger Pulse Oximeter, (SpO2) Blood Oxygen Monitor with Pulse Rate Measurement and Digital Reading LED is on sale for 50% off. These are great to have if you have COPD, Emphysema or are an asthma patient or a care giver of one of the mentioned.

And it's a 2 Pack! They are easy to use and read. We had one in the house for my husband to monitor his oxygen levels because he had COPD. Do yourself or a loved one a favor and go check it out HERE.

Be well my friends and until next time,

Be Happy, Be Healthy and Be Safe,

Teresa aka Tess

Quotes

 Hello All,

I've been attending a webinar thru Lurn, a 5 Day Digital Empire Challenge, and I'm learning a lot. One of todays guests had framed quotes on his wall behind him. Here are just a few I wrote down:

Don't Count the Days Make the Days Count.

The Power of Imagination Makes Us Infinite

If You Can Dream It You Can Do It

The Journey of a Thousand Miles Begins With a Single Step

After todays webinar lesson I was reading my notes and realized just how much quotes impact my life. I have them written on snippets of paper, in journals, incorporated into artwork, on snippets taped to my desk, all over really.

I decided to go searching for a good book of Quotes and found this one on Amazon.

Ageless Wisdom : A Treasury of Quotes to Motivate and Inspire by J.S. Felts

I know nothing about the author but I truly believe this would be a great book to own. I know I'll be buying it. I hope you'll go take a look, just click on the words Ageless Wisdom above.

Speaking of quotes please share with me some of your favorite quotes and why they motivate or inspire you.

Heres's one of mine: Be gentle with yourself, you're doing the best you can. ~Tamara Laport of willowing.org

I am sometimes way too hard on myself, we can often be our own worst enemies. Tamara reminds me to take it easy on me and just do the best I can at any given time or task.

Be well my friends and untill next time,

Sanitizing The After COVID Way

 Good Sunday All,

Today was my first Sunday physically in church since 3 weeks past. I wore my mask the whole service and no hugs but a few fist bumps. It was so good to be in the pew and not just watching from home. I love the sound of the big organ pipes.

My granddaughter and I have been cleaning and disinfecting off and on for 3 days now as we both got the NEGATIVE test result Friday. We've noticed we still tire easily so decided to keep track of what we've cleaned and give ourselves time to get it done. We've cleaned all of the usual things such as sweeping, mopping and vaccuming the floors (even though they were just done recently), microwave inside and out, cleaning toilet and sinks in bathroom and kitchen, cleaning stove and counter tops, thorougly cleaning cat food dishes and kitty litter area, wiping down the refrigerator and freezer doors inside and out, etc. Then we sat and thought about the everyday things we touch automatically and don't really think about. The disinfecting cleaning wipes came out and we cleaned:

light switches, door nobs (inside and out) including cabinets in kitchen and bathroom,  dresser drawer pulls, cell phones and chargers, all tv and Roku remotes, portable speaker and charger cord, wiped down all of the shampoo, conditioner, bath wash and perfume bottles, double wiped down the sink faucets, kitchen table was decluttered and completely wiped down, blankets and pillows washed, sheets changed, lamp switches wiped down, tooth brushes in the trash and new ones out, vaccum cleaner handle and broom and mop handles. I still wonder did we forget anything?

Oh the car, I have a steering wheel cover, it was removed and the steering wheel and column completely wiped down and a new cover purchased and placed on. Let me tell you those things are hard to put on, it took both of us and about 10 minutes sitting in Walmart parking lot pushing and pulling but we got it on. I've sprayed disinfectant in there. We plan to thoroughly vaccum the inside of the van and clean all door handles, windows, radio buttons, etc. It'll get done tomorrow for sure. We tuckered out today.

So there you have it, sanitizing after COVID. Please be careful when wiping down anything electrical.  And if you think of something I may have missed please let me know.

Untill next post,

Be Happy, Be Healthy and Be Safe,

Teresa aka Tess

COVID Free

 Hi, Hi, Hello there,

I am so happy at the moment (hopefully I'll stay this way). So my granddaughter and I have been under house quarantine because we have COVID-19 or I should say Had COVID. We went for a free test today and !Woo Hoo! 😄 we are both now NEGATIVE for COVID antigens. Yeah! We were super excited, stoked and oh so happy to get that text. We still tire easily and must take our immune boosting vitamins and wear maskes but it was oh so good to safely leave the house today. Now we just have to get my mom thru this. Her last quarantine day is Sept. 6th. She wants to go for the free test too as she is so afraid of infecting another. I pray for her everyday. You may pray for her too, her name is Joan! She takes a walk outside around her yard with her mask on daily. I can't imagine how lonely she must be at this time having just buried her husband. Many family and friends call her daily to check in or leave little gifts at her door. Just pray my mom beats this ok, please.

I was browsing around and found a great 60% off coupon at Amazon for Halloween Window Decor. Go check it out HERE . No it's not too early to start Halloween shopping. Halloween was my oldest daughters favorite time of the year. I hope you'll use the discount.

Until next time...

P.S. Please pray for those lost in the Afghanistan mess and Hurrican Ida.

Happy September

                             My version of a Picasso

Happy September Everyone,

It's so good to be out of August and headed for cooler days. August was a hard month for me and many in my family. I lost my husband 1 year ago in August. My stepdad, who seldom left the house, somehow contracted COVID and subsequently passed away under hospic care. He had several other underlying illnesses including diabetes and cancer. Then I was tested positive and my mom and then my granddaughter. We buried my stepdad in August. My Uncle lost a niece this year in August and he was afraid to go see his brother. My cousins lost an Aunt this past month too. I used to love the month of August because it was the year I became a grandmother 22 years ago. I will still always celebrate her day, August 4th; but after that I just don't know! My mom challenged me to read Psalms91 in the bible every day this week...such comforting words.

I look forward to getting better and mom and Raven too so we can get out of quarantine. I want to do more yardwork and have the energy to clean more around the house, sanitize and all. I want to go fishing in my husbands favorite spot. It's been over a year since his passing and I have yet to be able to go there. I want to go there and spread some of his ashes into the lake. Then I'll know he's fishing with me. He loved going fishing but had no energy to do so the last year of his life.

I didn't want this to be a sad post but a happy one. We got through August and September with cooler days ahead of us. Yeah! My daughter, Billie Jo, loves the fall and winter months. I know she's happy to be out of the August heat. I hope September is cooler anyway.

I pray you all stay healthy and happy. Wear your masks in public as this COVID isnt over yet. Hug your loved ones and tell them you love them daily. Enjoy a sunrise or a sunset. Roast some marshmallows and hotdogs on a cool evening over a campfire. Be kind to ane another and our earth. Pray for those who lost there lives in Afghanistan and those affected by Hurricane Ida.

Untill next time...

Be Happy, Be Healthy and Be Safe,

Teresa aka Tess
