Time is not measured
by the years that you live
But by the deeds that you do
and the joy that you give.
And each day as it comes
brings a chance to each one
To love to the fullest,
leaving nothing undone.
That would brighten the life
or lighten the load
Of some weary traveler
lost on life's road.
So what does it matter
how long we may live
If as long as we live
we unselfishly give.
My passion has always been poetry. Words are my form of therapy and cost much less. I often work out details of my life by writing things out. So many times I have thrown these snippetts away and now wish I had not. Words can touch our hearts both in the written or spoken form. I will fill this place with poetry, and other heartfelt forms of the written word. You may find some mixed media Art here also. I see words as Art, Do you?

Helen Steiner Rice
One of my favorite poets is Helen Steiner Rice. She was a remarkable woman and her poems, essays and quotes are so cheerful and inspiring. The Home & Holidays website has a great list of Helen Steiner Rice poems. Here is one of my favorites penned by Mrs. Rice (I don't know the title of this poem. Do you?):
I have found this unselfish/giving attitude among so many wonderful bloggers. I've been prayed for and taught and gifted so much. I thank you all from the bottom of my heart. :)
Have a great 3 day weekend and if you are traveling
Godspeed,
Tess
